- The wordpress codex has a very good article for new bloggers with advice on how to write articles. This article is titled “Writing Posts“; it explains the available options on the Write Article page and goes on giving valuable tips on How to Write or in other words how to be a good bloggers. I found the advice on how be a successful blogger invaluable and I think it deserved highlighting.
- Below I have a list of the most important tips for newbie bloggers on how to become successful, seasoned bloggers could also benefit from the list, use it as a quick refresher.
- Spell Check and Proof, easy to do with firefox or with WP plug-ins
- Think before you post, I know it’s hard
- Write about what you like, otherwise you will loose interest
- Write frequently, but don’t sacrifice quality
- Don’t use too much slang, writing quality matter
- Don’t hide your emotions, be yourself and be passionate
- Consider your readers, don’t same something you don’t want readers to know
- Make use of comments, comments ad to the quality of your articles take them seriously
- Worry about blog design later, writing blogs is what will keep your readers coming back not your site’s design, worry about the design later.
- Use pictures and videos, colorful pages attract readers
- Keep writing, if you can’t think of anything to write surf other blogs for inspiration, if you are stuck you could rant about something, write a review about a movie, book, product, news, etc..
